How to read this table

The first row is the base. A delta is the other car minus the YU7, so the negative lengths below mean those cars are shorter. Width is body width and excludes mirrors. Height is to the roof. Wheelbase is the distance between the axles. The numbers are filled from the sheets. They are not typed into the sentences.

The base is the Xiaomi YU7, model year 2025. This sheet is the Egypt-market record. The dimensions are the official Chinese-market figures on that sheet. This guide does not treat them as a UK or EU homologation. The other rows are the Tesla Model Y as the volume benchmark, the Zeekr 7X, the Porsche Macan EV, the Polestar 4 and the NIO ES6. The ES6 is a context row. Its model page is linked, and it does not have a pair page with the YU7.

Model Y

The Tesla Model Y differs by −205 mm in length, −76 mm in width, +13 mm in height and −110 mm in wheelbase. The model year is 2025. This is the indexed Model Y sheet. A duplicate sheet is not indexed and is not linked. The YU7 is longer, wider and a little lower, with a longer wheelbase. The length gap is what a parking bay feels first. The Model Y is the narrowest car in this table.

Zeekr 7X and Macan Electric

The Zeekr 7X differs by −212 mm in length, −66 mm in width, +42 mm in height and −100 mm in wheelbase. The model year is 2024. It is shorter and narrower than the YU7, and taller, with a shorter wheelbase. On length it sits with the Macan Electric, not with the YU7. Someone choosing between the Zeekr and the YU7 is choosing a shorter car, not a coat of paint.

The Porsche Macan EV differs by −215 mm in length, −58 mm in width, +14 mm in height and −107 mm in wheelbase. The model year is 2025. It is the shortest car in the table. The length delta is close to the Zeekr's, and so is the wheelbase delta. This sheet is the China-market Macan Electric record. Both are a clear step shorter than the YU7.

Polestar 4 and NIO ES6

The Polestar 4 differs by −159 mm in length, +12 mm in width, −74 mm in height and −1 mm in wheelbase. The model year is 2023. It is shorter than the YU7 and it is the widest car in the table. It is also the lowest, by a height gap that is large for this set. The wheelbase difference is almost nothing. A wider, lower car with nearly the same wheelbase is a different cross-section, not a shorter copy of the YU7. Width is what a single bay's doors will notice.

The NIO ES6 differs by −145 mm in length, −1 mm in width, +95 mm in height and −85 mm in wheelbase. The model year is 2026. Width is almost the YU7's width. Height is not: this is the tallest car in the table. Length and wheelbase are both shorter. It is here as the nearest Chinese-market rival for scale. The pair page is not linked.

A UK garage bay

The UK preset is 5000 mm long, 2500 mm wide and 2100 mm high. Doors need 300 mm on each side. The walkway needs 600 mm of spare length. Mirrors are excluded. The tool's mirror allowance is 220 mm on each side and is not added.

The headline is the YU7's length against that preset. Spare length is 1 mm, the side gap is 252 mm and spare height is 492 mm. The car is only just shorter than the preset, and the side gap is under the door rule. The Tesla Model Y has 206 mm spare and 290 mm at each door. The Zeekr 7X has 213 mm spare and 285 mm at each door. All three are short of the door rule and short of the walkway. On the single-car preset, 6706 mm by 3658 mm, the YU7's spare length is 1707 mm and its side gap is 831 mm.

Xiaomi YU7 misses the 300 mm door rule by 48 mm; Tesla Model Y misses the 300 mm door rule by 10 mm; Zeekr 7X misses the 300 mm door rule by 15 mm.

What the figures do not say

The YU7 figures are the Chinese-market dimensions on the Egypt-market sheet. They are not a claim about a UK or EU type approval. Boot litres are not ranked. The sheets do not share one measuring basis. Use the model page for the published boot. Turning figures are not cited.

Width excludes mirrors, which matters on a body this wide. A bay that fails the UK door rule on body width fails it further once the mirrors are on. Price, range and which market you can actually order the car in are outside this comparison.

The UK preset is 5000 mm long, 2500 mm wide and 2100 mm high. Door clearance is the bay width minus the car width, halved. Doors are clear at 300 mm or more on each side. The rear walkway is clear at 600 mm or more of spare length. Official width excludes mirrors. The tool's mirror allowance is 220 mm on each side, and this table does not add that allowance.
