The cabin has dual 12.3-inch screens for instruments and multimedia with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Dual-zone automatic climate control comes standard along with a color HUD. Driver aids include adaptive cruise, AEB with pedestrian and cyclist detection, blind-spot monitoring, lane-keep assist with emergency keep and departure warning, plus front and rear parking sensors and a 360-degree camera with reverse view and dynamic guides. Living with it means easy phone integration, clear views for parking, and active help on highways and in traffic.
The boot holds 380 litres with the seats up and 1,075 litres with the seats folded.
Payload is 536 kg. Maximum towing capacity is 750 kg. Chery Australia states that figure, and the New Zealand specification sheet lists 750 kg for a non-braked trailer. No official page states a braked towing capacity.

The Omoda E5 is fully electric. Its 61.1 kWh LiFePO4 battery gives 345 km of range on the Inmetro cycle. It supports DC fast charging and a 3.3 kW vehicle-to-load function.
Scheduled service is due every 24 months or 20,000 km, whichever comes first. Fixed-price maintenance plans cover the first eight years when done at authorized dealers.
Safety kit includes six airbags, electronic stability and traction control, tire-pressure monitoring and a comprehensive ADAS suite with adaptive cruise, automatic emergency braking, blind-spot detection, lane-keeping aids and driver-fatigue monitoring. The model scored five stars in both Euro NCAP and ANCAP tests.
Warranty stays valid only with on-time authorized service. The high-voltage battery is covered separately for eight years or 150,000 km.
