The cabin uses Volvo’s floating centre console with controls for audio and climate plus a display for personal settings. Fuel use varies by engine. Petrol five-cylinder models list around 22 city and 30 highway mpg. Efficient diesels reach mixed figures as low as 4.3 l/100 km on some variants with start-stop.
Servicing follows fixed intervals of 20 000 km or once a year. Oil and filter changes form the base service. Timing belt replacement occurs at high mileage on certain engines. Brake fluid changes every two years.
Safety kit is comprehensive from the start. Dual-stage front airbags, side airbags, inflatable curtains, SIPS structure, WHIPS seats and DSTC stability control come standard. Five-star Euro NCAP adult protection confirms the design.
