The Trendline cabin seats seven with leatherette upholstery, power driver seat with lumbar, heated and ventilated front seats, and easy-entry second-row seats that slide and fold. A 12-inch touchscreen runs wireless App-Connect for Apple CarPlay and Android Auto plus navigation, paired with a digital cockpit, voice and gesture controls, wireless phone charger and multiple USB-C ports. Three-zone Climatronic keeps everyone comfortable. Driver aids include adaptive cruise control, front collision assist with automatic emergency braking, blind-spot monitoring with rear traffic alert, front and rear parking sensors, and a reversing camera.
Boot space starts at 583 litres behind the third row. Fold the second and third rows for up to 2735 litres of flat load space. Second-row seats also fold for intermediate capacity around 1572 litres.
Towing preparation is standard so a hitch can be fitted. Gross vehicle weight is 2600 kg and kerb weight 1970 kg, giving a payload of 630 kg. The front-wheel-drive setup and standard suspension suit family and light work duties rather than heavy hauling.

The Trendline runs a gasoline 2.0 L TSI turbo four-cylinder making 269 hp and 370 Nm. It uses an 8-speed Tiptronic automatic and front-wheel drive. Official combined fuel use is 12.2 km/l, with a 70.4-liter tank.
Factory warranty covers five years or 100,000 km. A Long Drive prepaid service plan covering intervals up to 60,000 km or three years is offered separately. it is not included in the Trendline price.
Safety equipment includes front, side and full-length curtain airbags, electronic stability control, anti-lock brakes, traction control, brake assist, multi-collision braking, adaptive cruise control, forward-collision warning with emergency braking, blind-spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic alert, front and rear parking sensors, a rearview camera and tire-pressure monitoring.
