Servicing follows Volkswagen’s flexible LongLife programme or a fixed schedule. Oil changes can stretch to 30 000 km or two years with the correct oil. fixed intervals are shorter for high-mileage city use. A three-year/60 000-mile warranty and roadside assistance come as standard in many markets.
Safety equipment is comprehensive for a supermini. Every car has ESC, ABS with brake assist, multi-collision braking after an impact, dual front airbags and combined head-thorax side airbags. ISOFIX mounts, three rear head restraints and a tyre-pressure loss indicator are also standard. Optional extras include Front Assist city emergency braking, adaptive cruise and driver-alert fatigue warning.
The fully galvanised body and high-strength steel structure help the car stay solid over time. Regular servicing keeps the engines and dual-clutch gearboxes reliable. The 280-litre boot and split-fold rear seats make everyday ownership practical.
