The cabin centres on a 15.6-inch touchscreen with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. Dual-zone automatic climate control includes an ionizer and cabin filter. Adaptive cruise control, lane keep assist with centring, blind spot warning, automatic emergency braking, front and rear parking sensors, backup camera and 360-degree surround view are standard across grades. Seats are powered and heated, with ventilation on higher trims.
Boot space is 376 litres with the rear seats up. The 60/40 split rear seats fold flat to give 1373 litres. A small frunk adds extra storage for cables or small items.

The VF 8 runs purely on electricity from its 87.7 kWh battery pack and dual motors. DC fast charging takes the battery from 10 to 70 percent in about 31 minutes. Range figures differ by trim and test cycle but sit in the mid-200-mile EPA range for both Eco and Plus versions.
Servicing is simple and infrequent. Expect a multi-point inspection, cabin filter change, brake fluid check and software updates every 12 months or 12,000 km. Brake fluid is replaced every two years. High-voltage coolant lasts up to 10 years. No engine oil changes are needed.
Safety equipment is strong across the range. Eleven airbags cover front, side, curtain, knee and center positions. Standard ADAS includes adaptive cruise, lane keep and centering, blind-spot warning, forward collision warning with automatic emergency braking, rear cross-traffic alert, 360-degree camera and driver monitoring. The car earned a five-star ASEAN NCAP score and four stars from Euro NCAP.
