The Combo-e Life Design runs purely on electricity from its 52kWh battery. Official range reaches up to 213 miles depending on version. Rapid charging takes the battery to 80% in around 30 minutes. Real-world figures drop on motorways but efficiency modes help stretch the miles.
Servicing is straightforward for an EV. After the first check at 12,500 miles or one year, the schedule moves to every 25,000 miles or two years. Fewer moving parts mean less routine work than a combustion model, keeping ownership simple.
Safety equipment is solid for the class. Six airbags, automatic emergency braking with pedestrian detection, lane keep assist, forward collision alert, cruise control with speed limiter and driver attention monitoring all come as standard. Matrix LED headlights improve night visibility. The 2018 Euro NCAP score of four stars still applies though it is now expired.
Living with the car centres on its flexible seating and big load space. The three-year vehicle warranty covers 60,000 miles after the first unlimited year. Battery health is protected longer term and connected services help monitor charging and maintenance needs.
