Routine service calls for oil and filter changes every 3000 to 6200 miles, with ignition timing, fluids, belts, steering and suspension checked at 6000 miles and air cleaner, hoses and exhaust at 12000 miles. Cooling system needs annual reverse flush and fresh antifreeze to protect the alloy heads.
Safety kit centres on the integral T-bar roll-over hoop for rigidity and protection, dual-circuit brakes (front discs, rear drums) with servo and pressure-differential warning light, lap/sash front belts and an ignition-key steering lock. Later cars added hazard and belt warning lights. No official crash-test ratings appear in the record.
