The cabin is refined for its class with a horizontal dashboard, concentric Optitron instruments and multiple storage compartments including dual gloveboxes and cupholders. Climate control is manual on mid grades and automatic on higher ones. Bluetooth is available from mid grades, with touchscreen navigation on top grades. Standard driver aids cover ABS, EBD, Brake Assist, Traction Control, VSC and seven airbags. Parking sensors and a reversing camera are available as options or accessories.

The cabin feels refined and spacious for its compact size, with thin-profile sports front seats that free up rear legroom, a floating silver centre cluster, Optitron instruments and quality jersey fabric upholstery. Storage is practical with dual gloveboxes and a passenger cupholder placed ahead of the air vent to cool drinks. Automatic climate control and rear privacy glass appear on higher grades, while driver height adjustment is standard.

Petrol and diesel engines deliver low official combined consumption figures around 5.5 l/100 km for the 1.33 and 4.5-4.9 l/100 km for the 1.4 D-4D, helped by Stop & Start on the petrol and a particulate filter on the diesel. A 42-litre tank supports decent range for urban and longer trips.
Servicing is set at 15 000 km or yearly. The car uses a maintenance-free timing chain, long-life plugs and an oil-monitoring system on the diesel that can extend oil-change intervals. Clutches self-adjust and coolant lasts a long time, keeping ownership costs down.
Standard safety kit includes seven airbags (front, side, curtain and driver knee), active front headrests, ABS with EBD and Brake Assist, plus VSC and traction control on every model. ISOFIX points and full seatbelt reminders are fitted. Euro NCAP awarded three stars in 2009 after a lower adult-occupant score linked to the pole test.
The body uses galvanised steel and underbody coating for corrosion resistance. Flexible rear seats (slide/recline on 2WD, double-fold on AWD) and a practical boot make daily living easy. Regular dealer service maintains reliability and low repair costs.
