The Icon runs pure electric on a 57.7 kWh battery. Official range reaches 284 miles on the WLTP cycle with energy use of 4.64 miles per kWh. DC fast charging takes the battery from 10 to 80 percent in 28 minutes at 150 kW. An 11 kW onboard AC charger is fitted as standard.
Servicing follows a 10,000-mile or annual schedule. The base warranty runs three years or 60,000 miles and can extend to ten years or 100,000 miles when the car stays with Toyota dealers. The traction battery carries an eight-year or 100,000-mile guarantee that capacity stays above 70 percent. the Battery Care Program pushes that to ten years or one million kilometres after yearly health checks.
Safety equipment is comprehensive from the entry grade. Toyota Safety Sense brings pre-collision braking that recognises pedestrians, cyclists and motorcycles, intelligent adaptive cruise control, lane-trace and departure assists, blind-spot monitoring, safe-exit assist and rear cross-traffic alert with automatic braking. Euro NCAP awarded the model five stars.
Living with the car is straightforward. The heat pump and ECO climate mode cut energy draw while keeping the cabin warm. Regenerative paddles let the driver choose how much charge is recovered on the move. Routine battery health checks and dealer servicing keep both warranty and residual value strong.
