Higher grades get a 7-inch touchscreen with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto smartphone integration plus a reversing camera. Cruise control is not offered.

The Aygo is not engineered or homologated for towing, with braked and unbraked capacities listed as zero. Payload is around 400 kg based on kerb and gross weights. It suits light urban use only, with no heavy-duty cooling or reinforced suspension options.
The cabin uses upgraded fabrics and part-leather options on higher grades with a Quartz Grey and Piano Black scheme for a more premium feel. Driver’s seat height adjustment is available on most grades and the steering wheel adjusts for height. Manual air conditioning is standard on mid grades with automatic climate control on higher ones. Extra sealing and absorption materials cut noise and vibration for a quieter ride. An optional power canvas Funroof opens for open-air driving on select grades. Seats are supportive for city use with custom colour accents available.

The 998 cc dual VVT-i petrol engine delivers responsive low-speed torque for city driving and returns strong official combined economy figures. An Eco version with longer gearing and stop-start is available for even lower consumption. The 35-litre tank supports decent range between fills.
Servicing follows a 12-month or 10,000-mile schedule at authorised centres. Toyota Service Plans lock in costs. Regular dealer visits also extend warranty cover.
Crash protection earned three Euro NCAP stars as standard in 2017 testing and four stars when the Safety Sense pack is fitted. All cars have six airbags, stability control, tyre pressure monitoring and hill-start assist. Pre-collision braking and lane departure alert form the Safety Sense pack, standard on x-clusiv and made standard across the range from 2020.
The car is simple and cheap to keep. Light weight and small size keep insurance groups low. Parts and labour stay affordable thanks to the shared platform and widespread dealer network.
