Braked towing is 1,500 kg.

Suzuki S-Cross 2021– car dimensions: 4300 mm long, 1785 mm wide and 1580 mm high. Braked towing is 1,500 kg.

The cabin offers a 7-inch or 9-inch touchscreen with smartphone connectivity for Android Auto and Apple CarPlay as standard. Dual-zone automatic climate control appears on higher grades while base ones use manual air conditioning. Adaptive cruise control comes fitted across the range. Front and rear parking sensors plus a reversing camera are available depending on grade, with a 360-degree camera on top versions. Automatic emergency braking via Dual Sensor Brake Support is standard, as is lane departure warning and prevention. Blind spot monitoring is included on mid and higher grades.

Boot space measures 430 litres with the rear seats upright. Folding the seats expands it to 665 litres VDA, or a maximum of 1230 litres according to manufacturer figures. A double flat floor and 60:40 split rear seats aid practical loading.

Braked towing capacity reaches 1500 kg with unbraked at 600 kg on most European specs for this engine. Payload sits around 450 kg based on gross vehicle weight minus kerb weight. No mentions of heavy-duty cooling or reinforced suspension appear in the published materials.

Cabin offers good space for five adults with clear outward visibility and dual-zone climate control as standard on most grades. Heated front seats feature across the range in key markets, with two-position reclining rear seatbacks for passenger comfort. Higher trims add leather upholstery and a double-sliding panoramic sunroof that opens wide over front and rear. Materials feel solid and practical with chunky controls, though some surfaces look basic. Storage is useful and the layout stays simple for everyday family use.

1.4 BOOSTERJET 48V SHVS mild hybrid, WLTP combined fuel use from 5.3 l/100 km on 2WD manual

47-litre fuel tank

Service interval every 12 months or 20,000 km

Seven airbags standard across grades

Dual Sensor Brake Support AEB, adaptive cruise, lane departure warning/prevention, blind-spot monitor and rear cross-traffic alert standard

No Euro NCAP rating for the 2021-present generation

The 1.4 BOOSTERJET turbo petrol with 48V SHVS mild hybrid returns WLTP combined figures starting at 5.3 l/100 km and 119-120 g/km CO2 on 2WD manual models. Automatic and ALLGRIP versions sit higher, up to around 6.1 l/100 km and 139 g/km. The system adds torque fill and boost for smoother response while cutting fuel use versus the non-hybrid predecessor. Real-world mixed driving typically lands in the mid-to-high 40s mpg range.

Official service interval is every 12 months or 20,000 km, whichever comes first. Oil and filter changes follow the service indicator or a 12-month maximum. The mild-hybrid setup needs no special charging routine and adds little complexity beyond a conventional petrol engine.

Standard safety kit is comprehensive: seven airbags including a driver knee bag, Dual Sensor Brake Support autonomous emergency braking, adaptive cruise control, lane-departure warning with prevention, traffic-sign recognition, blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, hill-hold and tyre-pressure monitoring. The current generation has not received a Euro NCAP rating.

Ownership is straightforward with a three-year/60,000-mile base warranty that can extend via dealer servicing. The car is known for mechanical reliability when maintained on schedule, and running costs stay moderate thanks to the efficient mild-hybrid powertrain and simple design.
