Suzuki Celerio 2014–2021 dimensions, tows 400 kg

Braked towing is 400 kg.

Suzuki Celerio 2014–2021 car dimensions: 3600 mm long, 1600 mm wide and 1540 mm high. Unladen weight is 835 kg. Braked towing is 400 kg.

The cabin is basic with hard plastics but offers good space for a city car. Higher trims include manual air conditioning, a CD/DAB radio with Bluetooth and USB, electric front windows, height-adjustable driver's seat and steering wheel. No factory touchscreen or smartphone integration. Driver aids are limited to ABS, ESP, multiple airbags and tyre pressure monitoring. parking sensors and a reversing camera are accessories only on some grades. No advanced systems like AEB, blind spot warning or lane keep.

Boot space is class-competitive at 254 litres with seats up. The 60:40 split rear seats fold to give 726 litres VDA, with a low loading lip for easy access.

Towing is limited to 400 kg braked and not recommended for unbraked trailers. Payload is around 380 kg based on kerb and gross weights. The car suits light urban duties rather than heavy work use, with no heavy-duty cooling or reinforced suspension noted.

The cabin feels surprisingly roomy for a small hatchback, with space for five adults thanks to the high roofline and long wheelbase. Hard plastics dominate the dash and door panels, though build quality holds up and silver accents add a bit of contrast. The elevated driving position gives good all-round visibility, the gear lever sits high for easy reach, and the seat offers height adjustment with six-way manual movement. Steering adjusts for rake only. Manual air conditioning cools the space effectively on higher grades, while storage includes multiple cupholders and door bins. The 60:40 split rear seats fold flat to open up the boot.

1.0-litre petrol engine returns combined fuel use of 4.3 l/100 km under NEDC testing

Fuel tank holds 35 litres

Service interval every 12 months or 20,000 km

Euro NCAP overall rating of three stars from 2014 test

Standard safety includes six airbags, ESP, ABS with brake assist, TPMS, hill hold and ISOFIX points

The 1.0 three-cylinder petrol engine is frugal, with official combined figures of 4.3 l/100 km and CO2 as low as 99 g/km on standard models, dropping further on Dualjet versions with stop-start. Real-world economy stays strong for city and short trips, helped by the light kerb weight around 835-890 kg. A 35-litre tank supports decent range between fills.

Servicing follows a schedule of every 12 months or 20,000 km, whichever comes first, with oil and filter changes at the same interval using specified grades. The lightweight design and simple mechanicals keep running costs low, and original parts plus trained technicians are recommended to maintain reliability. A three-year warranty covers the car when new.

Safety equipment centres on six airbags (front, side and curtain), ESP stability control, ABS with brake assist, tyre pressure monitoring, hill-hold control and two rear ISOFIX anchors. Euro NCAP awarded three stars overall in 2014, with solid scores for child and pedestrian protection but lower marks for safety assist due to the absence of autonomous braking or lane systems. The body uses high-tensile steel for crash energy management.

Living with the Celerio means easy parking thanks to the compact 3.6 m length and tight 9.4 m turning circle, plus a practical 254-litre boot that expands to 726 litres with seats folded. Daytime running lights and remote locking appear on most grades. Regular checks keep the simple cabin and efficient powertrain dependable for daily use.
