The cabin has a standard 7-inch R-Link touchscreen with navigation, Bluetooth, USB and voice control. Automatic climate control with heat pump and cruise control with speed limiter come as standard. There is no Apple CarPlay, automatic emergency braking, blind spot warning or lane keep assist.

Servicing is simple with no engine oil changes. Intervals are annual or every 18,000 miles, alternating minor and major checks that cover filters, brakes, fluids and high-voltage systems. Brake fluid changes less often. Many dealers handle EV work.
Crash protection scored five Euro NCAP stars in 2013 with strong adult and child scores. Standard safety covers multiple airbags, stability control, seatbelt pretensioners and child fixings. Pedestrian warning sounds at low speeds.
