Renault Rafale 2024– dimensions, tows 1,500 kg

Braked towing is 1,500 kg.

Renault Rafale 2024– car dimensions: 4710 mm long, 1866 mm wide and 1613 mm high. Unladen weight is 1,653 kg. Braked towing is 1,500 kg.

The cabin has a 12.3-inch driver display and 12-inch vertical OpenR Link touchscreen with Google built-in, wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, plus dual-zone automatic climate control with rear vents. Adaptive cruise control with stop-and-go is standard, along with front/rear/side parking sensors and a rear-view camera. Automatic emergency braking covers cars, pedestrians and cyclists, blind-spot warning is fitted, and lane-keep assist with emergency correction works above 44 mph. Higher trims add a 9.3-inch head-up display, 360-degree camera and hands-free parking. Physical climate buttons sit below the screen for easy use.

Boot space starts at 539 litres with seats up and reaches 1914 litres seats down. Full-hybrid versions can offer up to 627 litres including underfloor storage with the floor lowered. Rear seats fold 40/20/40 with a ski hatch for long items. The load lip is high and seats do not fold fully flat, creating a step.

Braked towing capacity is 1500 kg and unbraked is 750 kg across versions. Trailer stability assist is available. A removable or electric towbar is optional. Payload varies by hybrid type and equipment between roughly 380 and 520 kg depending on kerb weight and gross vehicle weight.

No heavy-duty cooling is listed. Reinforced or sport-tuned suspension with specific springs, dampers and anti-roll bars appears on Esprit Alpine and Atelier Alpine grades, the latter adding active damping with a predictive camera. The car suits light trailer or leisure use more than heavy work.

The cabin offers a bright, supportive feel with sports seats featuring side reinforcements for hold during cornering. Higher grades add 6-way power adjustment, lumbar support and driver massage. Dual-zone climate control with rear vents and an air purifier keep the air fresh. The Solarbay roof darkens in segments for light and heat control without a blind, adding headroom. Acoustic front glass and sound-proofing create a quiet space, while the long wheelbase gives rear passengers 302 mm knee room and a practical ingenious armrest with USB-C and device holders.
