Braked towing is 2,200 kg.

Porsche Panamera 2009–2013 car dimensions: 4970 mm long, 1931 mm wide and 1418 mm high. Unladen weight is 1,805 kg. Braked towing is 2,200 kg.

The cabin is a four-seater sports-luxury layout with a high centre console. All models get automatic climate control and a 7-inch touchscreen PCM with navigation as standard. Cruise control is standard. Rear ParkAssist is standard across the range. front sensors are standard on Turbo models and optional elsewhere. A reversing camera is optional with the full ParkAssist and PCM. Lane Change Assist became available as an option from late 2011.

Luggage capacity is 445 litres with the rear seats up, rising to 1263 litres when they are folded. The large rear hatch makes loading straightforward. Turbo models drop to 432/1250 litres with certain audio packs fitted. hybrids are lower still.

An optional electrically extending towbar allows a braked trailer load of 2200 kg or 750 kg unbraked, with a 100 kg noseweight limit. Maximum payload is listed at up to 605 kg on base models and falls to around 530-580 kg on higher-powered variants.

The car is a grand tourer rather than a work vehicle. Adaptive air suspension is standard on the Turbo and optional on others, while PASM is standard from the S upwards, but there is no specific heavy-duty cooling or reinforced suspension package listed for towing or payload duties.

The cabin has four individual seats with firm lateral support that still allow free movement. Front seats offer full electric adjustment for height, cushion, backrest and fore-aft as standard, rising to 14-way with memory on Turbo models. Optional adaptive sports seats add raised bolsters. Seat heating is standard on higher grades and optional at the rear, while ventilation is available across all seats when heating is fitted. An optional slide/tilt glass sunroof or panoramic roof system brightens the space, and optional thermally noise-insulated glass keeps the interior quiet. The high centre console and quality leather finishes create a sporty yet spacious feel suited to long drives.

All engines use direct fuel injection and VarioCam Plus for efficient combustion and lower consumption relative to output. An auto start/stop function pairs with PDK transmissions to cut fuel use in traffic. Premium unleaded is specified across the range.

Service follows a schedule of minor checks every 2 years or 30,000 km, with major work at 4 years or 60,000 km. Oil changes occur more often, typically annually. Brake fluid is replaced every 2 years. Regular care keeps the complex systems reliable.

Safety centres on standard Porsche Stability Management for traction and control, plus a full set of airbags including dual-stage fronts, knees, sides and curtains. An active bonnet extends deformation space in impacts. Optional PDCC further aids stability in corners.

The lightweight aluminium and magnesium construction aids efficiency and handling. Keep the car with timely fluid changes and inspections of suspension and electronics to maintain its dual role as sports car and daily grand tourer.
