The cabin uses the Porsche Driver Experience with a 14.25-inch digital instrument cluster and central 12.25-inch curved OLED Flow Display touchscreen. Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are standard. An optional passenger display and AR head-up display are available. Standard aids include adaptive cruise control, lane keeping assist, blind-spot warning, automatic emergency braking, front and rear parking sensors, and a reversing camera with surround view. The car runs fully electric on a 113 kWh battery (108 kWh usable) with dual motors and all-wheel drive. Expect combined WLTP consumption of 19.2–21.3 kWh/100 km and range of 592–661 km depending on variant and conditions. China CLTC figures reach 687 km on the Turbo Coupé. Fast DC charging tops out at 310 kW in the Chinese market (up to 400 kW under ideal conditions elsewhere), restoring 10–80% in roughly 16–18 minutes. AC charging is 11 kW standard, 22 kW optional. High recuperation (up to 600 kW) handles most everyday braking.
Servicing is simpler than a combustion Cayenne because there is no engine oil or spark plugs. Intervals centre on annual or 15 000 km inspections that cover multi-point checks, brake fluid, cabin filter, 12 V battery, software updates and high-voltage system diagnostics. Brake pads wear slowly thanks to regenerative braking. Tyres are the main wear item given the vehicle mass. Porsche Smart Service can monitor components and notify when attention is needed.
Crash protection is strong: the Cayenne Electric range earned five Euro NCAP stars with 91% adult occupant, 89% child occupant, 81% vulnerable road user and 79% safety assist scores. The passenger cell stays stable. side-impact performance is excellent. Standard equipment includes a full suite of airbags, autonomous emergency braking for cars/pedestrians/cyclists, lane-keeping support, seat-belt reminders, fatigue detection and eCall/bCall. Rear seats offer ISOFIX. The structurally integrated battery adds rigidity and protection.
Ownership is straightforward for an electric Porsche. The high-voltage battery carries an 8-year/160 000 km warranty covering defects plus remaining capacity guarantees (80% for the first three years/60 000 km, then at least 70%). Adaptive air suspension is standard for comfort and ride height control. Active Ride is available on higher grades. Towing capacity reaches 2.5–3.5 tonnes depending on package. Pre-climatisation via the app and Digital Key add convenience. Keep software current and use authorised centres for HV work.
