The cabin uses the Peugeot i-Cockpit with a compact steering wheel and either a 7-inch or 10-inch capacitive touchscreen that supports Apple CarPlay and Android Auto as standard. Automatic climate control is fitted across the range. Programmable cruise control comes as standard, with adaptive cruise and lane positioning assist on higher grades. Active Safety Brake with pedestrian detection and lane keeping assist are standard. The e-2008 uses a 50 kWh battery and 100 kW electric motor for zero tailpipe emissions and quiet running with heat pump climate control. Petrol PureTech and diesel BlueHDi options are also available across the range.
Servicing is simpler on the e-2008 with no oil changes. Intervals are 25,000 km or two years after the first check. Petrol and diesel models follow annual or mileage-based schedules with oil and filter changes. Brake fluid needs replacement every two years on all versions.
Euro NCAP rated the 2008 four stars on standard equipment and five stars with the optional safety pack in 2019. Standard kit includes multiple airbags, ESP, hill start assist, Active Safety Brake with pedestrian detection, lane departure warning, speed limit recognition and tyre pressure monitoring. Higher grades or packs add adaptive cruise with stop-go, lane positioning and blind spot monitoring.
Keep the high-voltage battery warranty valid with regular dealer checks. Regenerative braking cuts pad wear but brake fluid still needs attention. Use the tyre repair kit as no spare wheel is fitted. Pre-conditioning the cabin on the e-2008 helps range and comfort.
