The base cabin has manual air conditioning with pollen filter as standard, plus electric windows all round, heated electric mirrors and a triple info display. No touchscreen is standard. a colour display appears only with optional navigation. FlexSpace gives sliding and reclining outer rear seats plus a fold-out middle seat.

Fuel use varies by engine. Petrol options run from the 1.8 to the 2.8 V6 turbo. Diesels include 1.9 CDTI units and the 3.0 V6 CDTI. All meet Euro 4 standards. Combined figures appear in the official tables for the base model with standard equipment.
Servicing relies on the onboard interval display. The car carries a two-year new-vehicle warranty without mileage limit. An optional extension covers major components from year three. A twelve-year guarantee against rust-through applies when inspections follow the schedule.
Safety equipment is comprehensive from the base model. The IDS system includes ABS with cornering brake control, brake assist, electronic brakeforce distribution, ESP Plus and traction control. Dual front, side and curtain airbags protect occupants. Active head restraints front and outer rear reduce whiplash risk. The body uses high-strength steel and a pedal release system.
