The Visia cabin has manual air conditioning as standard in most markets, electric windows front and rear, a CD radio with AUX and four speakers, height-adjustable driver seat and a simple trip computer. Higher grades add automatic climate, cruise control with limiter, Bluetooth, USB and the Nissan Connect 5-inch touchscreen with reversing camera. Parking sensors are dealer-fit accessories. Later facelift Tekna models gain Safety Shield with blind-spot and lane features plus Around View, but these stay off the base Visia. Daily use feels basic yet practical with the tall seating and easy controls.
Boot holds 251 litres seats up with a useful under-floor tray of about 44 litres on 2WD models. The 60/40 split rear seat folds flat to give up to 830 litres, enough for weekend bags or shopping runs without feeling cramped.
Braked towing capacity reaches 1250 kg and unbraked 608 kg on the 1.6 Visia, with payload around 380-430 kg depending on exact engine and options. Stützlast is 75 kg. No heavy-duty cooling or reinforced suspension appears in the specs, so it suits light trailer or bike-rack duties rather than heavy work.
The cabin offers a high driving position and motorcycle-inspired centre console with grey casual fabric seats. Driver seat height adjustment is standard along with tilt steering wheel, manual air conditioning, front and rear electric windows, and electrically adjustable door mirrors. Rear seats split 60/40 for flexible loading. Boot space reaches 354 litres on 2WD models with a flexi-floor board.

Visia models use the 1.6-litre petrol engines or 1.5 dCi diesel. Combined fuel use is listed for the diesel at 4.9 l/100 km in NEDC figures.
Servicing follows a 12-month or 18,000-mile schedule for the 1.6 petrol and diesel. DIG-T versions use a shorter 12,500-mile interval. Warranty cover is three years or 60,000 miles with a 12-year anti-corrosion warranty.
Safety kit includes six airbags with passenger cut-off, ESP, ABS/EBD/Brake Assist, ISOFIX anchors, height-adjustable front belts with pretensioners and load limiters, rear child locks and three rear head restraints. The car scored a full five stars in the 2011 Euro NCAP test.
Keeping the car involves routine oil and filter changes at the stated intervals plus checks on brakes, fluids and tyres. A safety kit with warning triangle, first aid and high-visibility jackets is standard.
