The BMW-sourced 3.0-litre turbo straight-six runs on petrol and returns combined figures of roughly 7.7-8.2 l/100 km depending on the exact certification. A 46-litre tank gives reasonable range for a sports roadster when driven gently.
Servicing follows a straightforward annual or 10,000-mile schedule, whichever comes first. Oil and filter changes form the core of each visit, with air filter, plugs and fluids at longer intervals. Factory or dealer networks handle the work.
Early cars carried ABS only. From the 2023 update onward, electronic stability control and a pair of front airbags became standard. Seatbelts are inertia-reel type. No Euro NCAP or similar star rating exists for this low-volume model.
Living with the Plus Six means accepting a hand-built two-seater with ash-framed bodywork. The soft top needs careful folding. Regular checks of wood, leather and classic fittings keep it fresh. Proven BMW and ZF parts ease long-term ownership.
