The chassis and suspension are strengthened for work use. Lower grades have heavy-duty rear suspension while higher ones use standard-duty with Super Select 4WD-II and terrain modes for mixed on- and off-road duties.

The cabin feels roomier than before with extra shoulder and leg space, plus supportive front seats that include power lumbar as standard. Higher grades add leather, heated fronts and a six-way power driver seat. Dual-zone climate and a roof-mounted rear air circulator keep the double cab cool. Soft-touch surfaces and better materials appear on upper trims, making long drives less tiring.

Servicing is set at 12 months or 15,000 km. Capped-price plans run for up to 10 years when work is done at a Mitsubishi dealer, and the warranty stretches from the base five years/100,000 km to ten years/200,000 km under the same condition.

Safety is strong with a five-star ANCAP result. Eight airbags, AEB that covers pedestrians, cyclists and junctions, blind-spot monitoring, lane-keep assist, adaptive cruise and tyre-pressure monitoring come as standard across double cabs. Higher grades add a 360-degree camera and rear AEB.

Living with the Triton means straightforward dealer visits on the long interval and the ability to lock in extended cover by staying in the network. The cabin stays practical with vinyl or leather options and rear USB ports on most dual cabs.
