2.4L returns up to 23 city/28 hwy mpg FWD. V6 lower
Euro NCAP 5-star overall rating
Seven standard airbags including driver’s knee airbag
RISE body structure with ASC, ABS/EBD and Hill Start Assist
IIHS Top Safety Pick+ on later years of generation
Fuel economy varies by engine and drive. The 2.4-liter MIVEC four-cylinder with CVT is the thriftiest option, rated 23/28 mpg FWD or slightly less with AWD. The 3.0-liter V6 trades efficiency for power at roughly 19/26 mpg. Diesel versions in some markets sip less. ECO mode further trims consumption by easing throttle and A/C load.
Servicing follows a 12-month or 15,000 km interval, whichever comes first. Capped-price plans cover the first several years in certain markets. Oil changes use specified low-viscosity grades to protect the MIVEC engines and CVT.
Safety starts with a rigid RISE body and seven airbags. Standard kit includes active stability control, traction control, ABS with EBD and brake assist, plus hill-start assist. Higher grades add optional adaptive cruise, forward-collision mitigation and lane-departure warning. Euro NCAP awarded five stars. IIHS gave Top Safety Pick+ status.
Ownership is straightforward. The flap-fold tailgate and flat-folding seats make loading easy. Regular checks of tires, brakes and fluids keep the car reliable. Genuine parts and the multi-mode 4WD or S-AWC systems handle varied conditions without drama.
