The double cab offers class-leading cabin length for good legroom and space for five. Front seats have enhanced side and leg support with a stable fit. Higher grades add leather trim, power adjustment for the driver and heated front seats. Sound insulation and damping materials create a quieter ride. The L200 uses a turbo diesel engine that meets Euro 6 standards and includes an AdBlue tank. Official figures show combined consumption in the region of 8.5 to 9.7 l/100 km depending on transmission and market. Auto stop-start helps reduce fuel use in traffic.
Servicing is due every 12,500 miles or annually, whichever comes first. A five-year or 100,000 km warranty is offered in many markets along with 12-year anti-corrosion cover. Genuine parts and authorised service points support maintenance.
Safety equipment starts with a RISE body structure, seven airbags, ABS with EBD, active stability and traction control, hill start assist and trailer stability assist. Higher grades add forward collision mitigation with pedestrian detection, lane departure warning, blind spot warning, rear cross traffic alert and a 360-degree camera. Isofix points are fitted on outer rear seats.
The truck is built on a ladder frame with double wishbone front and leaf spring rear suspension for durability under load or off-road use. Keeping it means regular checks after rough use, topping up AdBlue around every 12,000 miles and following the service schedule to maintain the warranty.
