The two-seat cabin uses classic MINI toggle switches, a large central speedometer and ambient lighting. A multi-function leather or Alcantara steering wheel with cruise control is standard. Air conditioning is fitted. automatic climate control and rear parking sensors come in packages or on some grades. Optional navigation adds a central display with MINI Connected smartphone link. Bluetooth and USB are optional. JCW gets sport seats and a sport button. Rear visibility is limited with the roof up.
Boot space is 240 litres and stays the same with the roof down. A pass-through hatch behind the seats takes longer items. The high-opening tailgate and low sill help loading for a two-seater.
No official towing capacity is listed. the car is not rated for trailers. Payload is 230 kg. The JCW uses stiffer sport suspension and larger brakes for road handling rather than load carrying. It is a pure two-seat roadster with limited work use beyond light luggage.

The JCW Roadster runs on premium unleaded. Official figures put combined economy near 41.5 mpg imperial or about 7.2 litres per 100 km, with US EPA ratings of 25 city and 33 highway for the manual.
Servicing follows the Condition Based Service system that tracks oil life and other needs by mileage and time. Brake fluid is due every two years. JCW models need spark plugs more often than base engines, roughly every 30,000 miles.
Safety kit includes four airbags (front plus head-thorax side), ABS with brake assist and cornering control, Dynamic Stability Control and Dynamic Traction Control with electronic differential lock as standard. Fixed polished roll-over bars and a rigid windscreen frame protect in a tip-over. Run-flat tires are fitted. No dedicated crash-test rating exists for the Roadster itself.
Keep the soft top clean and lubricated, watch for water leaks around seals, and stick to CBS prompts plus regular checks on brakes and tires. The car is a pure two-seater so storage is limited to the 240-litre boot plus through-load.
