MG ZS EV 2021– car dimensions: 4323 mm long, 1809 mm wide and 1649 mm high. Unladen weight is 1,570 kg. Braked towing is 500 kg.
The cabin centres on a 10.1-inch colour touchscreen with wired Apple CarPlay and Android Auto as standard, plus a 7-inch digital driver display. Auto climate control with rear vents is fitted across the range. Adaptive cruise control, automatic emergency braking, lane keep assist and a reversing camera form part of the standard MG Pilot suite. Rear parking sensors are standard. Blind-spot warning and rear cross-traffic alert appear on higher grades, along with a 360-degree camera in many markets. The setup suits daily driving with clear phone integration and solid basic aids.
Boot space measures 448 litres with seats up and expands to 1166 litres with the 60/40 split rear seats folded. An adjustable dual-height floor helps with loading and cable storage underneath.
Towing capacity is rated at 500 kg braked or unbraked, enough for a small trailer or bike rack but not heavy loads. Payload sits around 450 kg depending on variant kerb weight and gross vehicle mass. Roof rails support up to 75 kg. No heavy-duty cooling or reinforced suspension is listed. It handles light work and family errands but is not built for frequent heavy towing or commercial use.
The cabin feels spacious for a compact SUV with soft-touch materials and modern finishes. Higher grades bring leather-style seats with contrast stitching, a 6-way power driver’s seat and heated front seats. Auto climate control includes rear vents and a PM2.5 filter. A panoramic sunroof on top trims floods the interior with light and can open for fresh air. Rear seats split 60/40 and recline, with a dual-height boot floor for flexibility.

Servicing follows a yearly or 15,000-mile schedule at authorised dealers. Precise-price packages cover the listed items so costs stay predictable. The high-voltage battery and coolant system are checked at each visit. Transmission fluid is lifetime-fill under normal use. A 7-year/160,000 km warranty covers the vehicle and battery pack when the service schedule is followed.
Crash protection earned five stars from Euro NCAP in 2019 and matching ANCAP scores, with strong adult and child occupant results. Every car carries six airbags, ABS, EBD, ESP, hill-hold and tyre-pressure monitoring. MG Pilot adds autonomous emergency braking with pedestrian detection, adaptive cruise, lane-keep assist, traffic-sign recognition and traffic-jam assist as standard. Higher grades add blind-spot monitoring and rear cross-traffic alert.
Daily ownership is straightforward. The iSMART app handles remote climate pre-conditioning, charge scheduling, lock/unlock and vehicle location. Keyless entry and push-button start are standard. Regenerative braking has three levels to stretch range in traffic. Cabin air is filtered and the dual-height boot floor plus 60/40 seats keep the car practical for family use.
