As a pure EV the S5 Essence draws power from 49 kWh or 62 kWh LFP packs. Claimed WLTP ranges sit between 335 km and 430 km while NEDC figures reach 410-515 km. On-board AC charging is 6.6 kW and DC peaks at 120-150 kW for a 10-80 percent top-up in around 20 minutes. Energy use is listed near 16-17 kWh/100 km.
Servicing follows a 12-month or 24,000-40,000 km schedule depending on the market. Capped-price plans cover several years at authorised dealers. The high-voltage battery carries a separate seven-year/150,000 km warranty while the vehicle itself offers seven years standard, extendable to ten years/250,000 km with on-time dealer service.
Safety earns a five-star Euro NCAP and ANCAP score from 2025 testing with 90 percent adult, 86 percent child, 82 percent vulnerable-road-user and 79 percent assist ratings. Standard kit includes seven airbags, adaptive cruise, autonomous emergency braking, blind-spot monitoring, lane-keep assist, rear cross-traffic alert and a driver monitor.
