Dual 12.3-inch screens sit side by side under one glass panel. Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are standard along with wireless charging and eight speakers. The Maxus 7 Model X runs a single front electric motor making 245 PS and 350 Nm from a 90 kWh lithium-ion pack. Claimed range reaches 570 km on the NEDC cycle. AC charging tops out at 11 kW for a full charge in roughly 8.5 hours. DC charging at up to 120 kW takes the battery from 30 to 80 percent in 30 to 36 minutes. V2L output is rated at 6.6 kW.
Standard warranty covers the vehicle for five years or 160,000 km. The high-voltage battery carries eight years or 200,000 km coverage, with lifetime terms available for the first owner on the pack, motor and control unit. Periodic maintenance follows a 15,000 km or 12-month schedule.
Crash protection earned a five-star Euro NCAP score. The car comes with six airbags (front, side and curtain), Full Space Frame structure, TPMS, driver monitoring and a full ADAS package that includes adaptive cruise, automatic emergency braking, lane keep, blind-spot detection, rear cross-traffic alert and a three-dimensional surround camera with parking sensors.
Living with the car centres on the electric powertrain and family packaging. Power sliding doors and a powered tailgate ease loading. The second-row captain seats and flexible third row suit daily passenger duty, while the dual climate zones and air filter keep the cabin comfortable in tropical conditions.
