The SL 350 BlueEFFICIENCY runs on premium petrol with official combined consumption of 6.8 to 7.5 litres per 100 km and CO2 output of 159 to 176 g/km under the Euro 5 standard. The 65-litre tank and ECO start/stop help with range on longer runs.
Servicing uses the ASSYST PLUS system that calculates due dates based on use. Typical intervals alternate Service A and B at about 25,000 km or every 12 months. Oil changes and inspections form the core of these visits.
Standard safety kit covers PRE-SAFE anticipatory protection, ATTENTION ASSIST drowsiness detection, dual-stage front airbags, sidebags, headbags, active bonnet for pedestrians, Neck-Pro crash-responsive head restraints, ABS, ESP, Brake Assist and adaptive braking. Automatic roll-over bars deploy if needed. The aluminium body adds structural rigidity. No official Euro NCAP stars were assigned as the model was not tested.
Keeping the car means following the ASSYST schedule for fluids, filters and brakes. The aluminium structure and adaptive damping help maintain ride quality over time when serviced regularly.
