The cabin is exceptionally quiet thanks to thick acoustically laminated side glass and careful sealing. A large panoramic roof is standard and floods the interior with light. Front seats are multi-way power adjustable with memory as standard. Optional Seat Comfort package adds active multicontour seats with dynamic side bolsters and ENERGIZING massage using air chambers. Optional AIR-BALANCE package provides cabin fragrance and ionisation. Optional Warmth Comfort package heats the steering wheel and armrests. Rear seats are individual and can be heated as an option.

The S 500 Coupé runs a 4.7-litre biturbo V8 on premium petrol. Official combined fuel use is listed between 8.3 and 8.8 litres per 100 km depending on exact setup and tyres. Real-world figures are higher under normal driving.
Service needs are managed by the ASSYST PLUS system. It calculates the next interval from time, distance and driving style. Typical guidance is around one year or 15 000-25 000 km, alternating between lighter A and fuller B services. Brake fluid is renewed every two years.
Safety equipment is extensive as standard. COLLISION PREVENTION ASSIST PLUS can brake autonomously. PRE-SAFE prepares the cabin before a crash. Multiple airbags, ESP and ABS are fitted. The coupe itself was not crash-tested by Euro NCAP but inherits the systems of the five-star saloon.
Living with the car means regular dealer or specialist care for the air suspension, electronics and biturbo V8. Parts are available but costly. Full service history keeps the complex systems reliable over high mileage.
