The cabin has dual high-resolution 12.3-inch screens forming a widescreen cockpit with MBUX. Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are standard along with four-zone THERMOTRONIC climate control. Standard driver aids include Active Brake Assist, Blind Spot Assist, Active Lane Keeping Assist, Active Parking Assist with PARKTRONIC and a 360-degree camera, plus SPEEDTRONIC cruise control with speed limiter. The full Driving Assistance package with DISTRONIC is standard on Night Edition Premium Plus grades.
Boot capacity is 630 litres with the rear seats up and expands to 2,055 litres with the seats folded down.
Braked towing capacity is 3,500 kg and unbraked is 750 kg. AMG ACTIVE RIDE CONTROL suspension with adaptive damping is standard.
The cabin pairs AMG sport seats in Exclusive Nappa leather with power adjustment, memory and lumbar support. Front seats are climatised for heating and ventilation. Four-zone THERMOTRONIC climate control, 64-colour ambient lighting, panoramic sliding sunroof, heated steering wheel and temperature-controlled cupholders are fitted. AIR-BALANCE adds fragrance and ionisation while ENERGIZING programmes support comfort on longer trips. Higher grades bring multi-contour seats with massage and heated armrests.

The 4.0-litre biturbo V8 mild hybrid runs on premium unleaded petrol. Official combined fuel consumption stands at 13.2 to 13.6 litres per 100 km with CO₂ emissions of 299 to 308 g/km. The tank holds 85 litres.
Servicing uses the ASSYST PLUS system that calculates intervals from driving style and conditions. Services alternate between A and B types. Authorised Mercedes-Benz centres handle the work.
The GLE generation earned a 5-star Euro NCAP rating with 91 percent adult occupant protection. Standard kit includes PRE-SAFE, ATTENTION ASSIST, ABS, ESP, dual-stage front airbags, side and curtain airbags, driver knee airbag, tyre-pressure monitoring and active parking assist.
Keep the car with regular dealer maintenance. The adaptive air suspension and high-performance brakes need specialist attention. Digital extras let you check oil, tyre pressure and fuel remotely.
