The cabin uses a standard 7-inch colour touchscreen with Audio 20 system and rotary controller. COMAND with larger screen is available on higher grades. Dual-zone THERMATIC climate control is standard. Cruise control is standard. Collision Prevention Assist Plus provides standard automatic emergency braking with visual and acoustic warnings plus autonomous partial braking. Blind Spot Assist, Lane Keeping Assist and reversing camera with PARKTRONIC parking sensors are available on some grades or via packages. Active Parking Assist is offered on certain models.
Boot space measures 550 litres with seats up and expands to 1600 litres with the 40:20:40 split-folding rear seats down. Underfloor storage is available on non-hybrid models. Plug-in hybrids have reduced capacity due to the battery pack.
Braked towing capacity reaches up to 2500 kg depending on engine, with unbraked capacity of 750 kg. Payload is around 665 kg on typical diesel models. AIR BODY CONTROL air suspension is available as an option for better load handling and ride height adjustment. Trailer Stability Assist is offered to aid towing stability.
The cabin seats five adults on contoured power front seats with multi-way adjustment, lumbar support and memory. Heated front seats come as standard on most grades. Ventilated front seats, heated rear seats and a heated steering wheel are available on higher equipment. Dual-zone climate control is standard with optional three-zone. An optional panoramic roof opens the space. Optional AIR-BALANCE adds fragrance and ionisation. Optional acoustic glass keeps the cabin quieter. Materials include hand-fitted upholstery and wood trim options.

The GLC offers a range of petrol, diesel and plug-in hybrid powertrains with 4MATIC all-wheel drive options on many models. Fuel use is lower than the previous GLK generation through improved engines and aerodynamics.
Servicing follows the ASSYST PLUS system. It calculates the next Service A or B due date from driving conditions, time and distance. Have work done at a qualified workshop when the display indicates.
Safety equipment includes PRE-SAFE anticipatory protection, Attention Assist drowsiness monitoring, radar-based Collision Prevention Assist, Crosswind Assist and a full set of airbags. The model earned a five-star Euro NCAP result in 2015 with strong adult and child scores.
Keep the car with regular ASSYST services, genuine parts and care of the interior materials and optional air suspension where fitted. The build quality supports long-term ownership when maintained on schedule.
