Petrol direct-injection turbo engine, combined consumption 6.4-7.9 l/100 km depending on gearbox and year

66-litre fuel tank

ASSYST PLUS service interval display adapts to driving conditions

Seven airbags standard plus PRE-SAFE and ATTENTION ASSIST

Active bonnet for pedestrian protection

ESP, ABS, brake assist and belt tensioners with force limiters on all seats

The E 250 CGI BlueEFFICIENCY runs on premium petrol. Official combined figures range from 6.4 l/100 km with the later 7-speed automatic to around 7.5-7.9 l/100 km with the earlier 5-speed unit. The tank holds 66 litres including an 8-litre reserve.

Servicing is managed by the ASSYST PLUS system, which calculates the next Service A or B due date from actual use rather than fixed mileage alone. The display shows remaining days or kilometres. Oil changes and inspections follow the indicated schedule. harsher conditions such as frequent short trips or dusty roads may bring the interval forward.

Standard safety kit includes seven airbags (front, side, window and driver knee), PRE-SAFE preventive protection that can tension belts and close windows, ATTENTION ASSIST drowsiness warning, crash-active NECK-PRO head restraints and an active bonnet that lifts on pedestrian impact. ESP, ABS with brake assist and seat-belt tensioners with force limiters are also fitted as standard.

The car is built for everyday reliability with a rigid body using high-strength steels. Regular ASSYST-guided maintenance at a Mercedes service centre keeps the petrol engine, automatic gearbox and adaptive dampers in good order for long ownership.
