The cabin offers automatic climate control with charcoal filter as standard, along with TEMPOMAT cruise control including SPEEDTRONIC limiter. PARKTRONIC parking sensors come standard. COMAND system with navigation is available, standard on higher models. Leather seats with memory, multifunction steering wheel and wood trim are standard. Distronic adaptive cruise is optional. No factory Android Auto, Apple CarPlay, touchscreen control, AEB, blind-spot warning, lane keep or reversing camera.
Boot space measures 450 litres with seats in place. Rear seats do not fold for extra capacity in this two-door coupe layout.

Spark plugs are specified for 100,000-mile intervals. The Active Body Control system is standard across the range and forms part of routine checks.
Standard safety kit comprises ESP with Automatic Slip Control, ABS, Brake Assist, dual-stage front airbags, front and rear side airbags, window curtain airbags, and automatically deploying rear head restraints. Bi-xenon headlamps and Parktronic are also standard. Pre-Safe became available from the 2003 update.
The hybrid steel-aluminium-magnesium body requires repairs only at certified facilities equipped for the materials. Soft-close doors and power trunk assist are standard convenience items that help daily use.
