The base Rotary-EV has a 10.25-inch centre display with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto as standard, plus a 7-inch touchscreen for climate controls. Full auto air conditioning is standard. Driver aids include Smart Brake Support automatic emergency braking, Blind Spot Monitoring, Lane Keep Assist System, Mazda Radar Cruise Control with full-speed following, front and rear parking sensors, and a reversing camera with guide lines. Higher grades add Cruising & Traffic Support and Adaptive LED Headlights.
Luggage capacity is 350 litres with seats up including the underfloor sub-trunk. The 60:40 split rear seats fold nearly flat to expand load space. Low load lip eases loading.

The rotary generator runs on regular unleaded gasoline from a 50 L tank. Official WLTC hybrid fuel economy is 15.4 km/L. Pure EV driving covers 107 km on a full charge before the engine starts generating power.
The car supports normal AC charging up to 6 kW and DC rapid charging, plus V2H and V2L power supply.
Safety kit is comprehensive even on base. Smart Brake Support covers front, rear and right-turn scenarios. Blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, full-speed radar cruise, lane-keep assist, driver attention alert and driver monitoring are all standard.
