The Skyactiv engines run on regular unleaded gasoline. Fuel economy figures appear in the brochures for both FWD and AWD setups with manual or automatic transmissions.
Follow the flexible oil change schedule based on the maintenance monitor light. Maximum interval is 12 months or 10,000 miles under normal conditions. Severe service shortens that. Cabin filter, air filter and other items follow the stated kilometer or mile intervals in the owner schedule.
The car earned a five-star Euro NCAP result. Standard kit includes six airbags, stability control, traction control, ABS with EBD and brake assist, tire pressure monitoring and hill launch assist. Higher grades add blind spot monitoring and rearview camera as standard or package items.
Keep up with the scheduled inspections for brakes, suspension, belts and fluids. The platform holds up well with timely oil changes and filter replacements. Check for known heater element wear on early heated seats if equipped.
