The Convertible runs 2.0-litre Ingenium petrol or diesel engines mated to a nine-speed automatic and permanent all-wheel drive with Terrain Response modes. Official combined figures sit between 32.9 and 45.6 mpg according to the engine chosen.
Service intervals run from 10,000 to 21,000 miles or up to two years, with an indicator that can call for earlier oil changes based on use. Transmission and driveline fluids need attention around 60,000 km.
Safety kit centres on a deployable rollover protection system that raises aluminium bars in 90 milliseconds, plus dual front airbags, a driver knee airbag, combined thorax and head airbags, ABS, ESC, traction control and autonomous emergency braking.
