Base models have manual climate control. Higher grades or options add dual-zone automatic climate control. Cruise control and rear parking sensors are available on some grades or as options. Blue&Me offers Bluetooth hands-free calling, voice control and USB music playback. An optional Connect Nav+ system includes a 6.5-inch colour display for navigation. ESP with hill holder is standard on later cars. No advanced driver aids such as automatic braking or cameras appear in the equipment lists.
Boot holds 390 litres with seats up. Fold the rear seats and space rises to 1488 litres. The 2007 facelift lengthened the tailgate and lowered the load sill for easier loading. Rear seats slide and split for flexible space.
Braked towing limit is 1000 kg and unbraked is 400 kg. Payload is listed around 425 kg depending on version. No heavy-duty cooling or reinforced suspension packages are noted in the specifications.
The cabin feels open and welcoming with a high driving position, ergonomic seats and large glass areas. Seats adjust for height on the driver side and fold in multiple ways including a chaise longue layout across 32 configurations. Dual-zone climate control is available along with improved soundproofing in the headliner. Higher grades add leather or Alcantara trim and the optional Granluce panoramic glass roof that opens to flood the space with light.
Petrol 1.4, Multijet diesels from 1.3 to 1.6/1.9 and bi-fuel LPG options available.
Scheduled oil and filter changes at 20,000 km intervals (30,000 km on some 1.3 Multijet).
Fiat Idea platform sister scored 4 Euro NCAP stars for adult occupants.
Standard ABS with EBD, ESP with hill holder and ASR, front side and curtain airbags plus ISOFIX.
Engines cover petrol 1.4 Fire units at 77 or 95 hp, Multijet diesels in 1.3 (70-95 hp), 1.6 120 hp and earlier 1.9 100 hp, plus a bi-fuel LPG version. Combined figures on official sheets sit in the mid single digits for diesels and around 6 l/100 km for the petrols, with Start&Stop on later cars.
Service schedules call for engine oil and filter every 20,000 km on most versions, pollen filter yearly or at the same interval, brake fluid every two years or 60,000 km, and timing belt checks or replacement at higher mileages depending on engine. Low-mileage cars still need annual inspections covering fluids, lights, tyres and belts.
Safety equipment includes driver and passenger front airbags, side and curtain airbags, three-point belts with pretensioners, ABS-EBD, ESP with brake assist and hill holder, ASR and ISOFIX mounts. The shared Fiat Idea platform earned four Euro NCAP stars for adult protection. LED rear lights and optional rear parking sensors add everyday protection.
Keeping the car means following the 20,000 km or yearly plan, watching for common age-related items such as suspension bushes and electronics on Blue&Me cars, and using the modular seats and low load floor for practical daily use. Parts remain available through Fiat/Lancia networks.
