Lamborghini Miura 1969–1971 car dimensions: 4390 mm long, 1780 mm wide and 1100 mm high. Unladen weight is 1,180 kg. Boot space with the seats up is 140 litres.
The two-seat cabin is low and snug with a driver-focused layout of twin cowled main gauges plus a central cluster of secondary dials, a gated five-speed shifter, and a passenger grab handle. Power windows became standard, the glovebox locks, and the overhead console uses rocker switches for better ventilation. Leather trim and a radio were options. air conditioning was optional but struggled to cool the cabin due to engine heat and the steep windscreen. No electronic driver aids appear in period specs.
Luggage sits behind the mid-mounted engine in a roughly 140-litre space. The S gained notched trunk end panels for a modest gain over the prior model. A matching set of suitcases was a factory option. Practical for light weekend bags only.
The cabin sits low with a fixed roof and simple two-seat layout. Power windows are standard. A leather-wrapped steering wheel replaces the earlier wood rim. The roof console is redesigned for better ventilation. Leather trim and air conditioning are optional. Seats adjust fore and aft. Engine heat reaches the cabin easily and the optional air conditioning struggles to keep up on warm days.
90-litre fuel tank requiring 100-octane petrol
Shared engine and gearbox oil sump
Oil and filter change every 5000 km
Girling disc brakes all round, ventilated from mid-production
Optional three-point seat belts
The car runs on 100-octane petrol from a 90-litre tank. Fuel use sits around the high teens per 100 km in normal driving. Carburettors can flood and create fire risk if hoses age or hot restarts are mishandled. fresh fuel lines and an extinguisher help.
Engine and gearbox share one oil supply so regular changes matter. Check the level every 500 km and change oil plus filter every 5000 km. Grease half-shafts and steering at the same interval. Valve clearances and other major work need the engine out, so plan for specialist labour.
Brakes are Girling discs on all four wheels with dual circuits. ventilated rotors arrived during the run. Steering is unassisted rack-and-pinion. No electronic aids or crash-test data exist for the period. Three-point belts were an extra. Keep the chassis free of rust and the shared oil clean to stay reliable.
