The Soul EV runs purely on electricity with no gasoline needed and zero tailpipe emissions. Early models deliver an EPA-estimated 93-mile range and 105 MPGe combined. Level 2 charging reaches full in under five hours while DC fast charging hits 80 percent in about 33 minutes. A heat pump and driver-only climate mode help stretch range further.
Servicing skips oil changes entirely. Tire rotations occur every 7,500 miles. Cabin air filters, brake fluid and cooling system fluid need regular checks and replacement at set intervals. Kia Care plans cover services through the full seven-year warranty period.
Standard safety kit includes dual front advanced airbags, dual front side airbags, full-length side curtain airbags, ABS, brake assist, electronic stability control, vehicle stability management, hill-start assist and tire-pressure monitoring. Euro NCAP awarded four stars with 84 percent adult and 82 percent child protection. A pedestrian warning system is also fitted.
The industry-leading warranty covers the vehicle for seven years or 100,000 miles and the battery for ten years or 100,000 miles down to 70 percent capacity. Preconditioning the cabin while plugged in and regular inspections of brakes, suspension and the high-voltage system keep ownership simple and reliable.
