The cabin has a standard panoramic triple-screen setup with a 12.3-inch driver display, 5.3-inch climate panel and 12.3-inch central touchscreen running ccNC. Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto come on every trim. Automatic climate control is standard. Front and rear parking sensors plus a reversing camera are fitted across the range. Smart cruise control with stop-and-go, lane keep assist, lane follow assist and forward collision-avoidance assist 2.0 are standard. Blind-spot collision-avoidance assist is trim-dependent.

Boot space is 362 litres with seats up and expands to 1,201 litres with the 60:40 rear seats folded nearly flat. Sliding and reclining rear seats on some configurations raise seats-up volume to 403 litres. Higher trims add a 15-litre frunk.

Towing capacity is 750 kg braked and unbraked from Air trim upwards on both battery sizes. Roof rails are standard from Air. No heavy-duty cooling or reinforced suspension is listed.

The cabin stays quiet on the motorway thanks to acoustic glass, sound-absorbing materials and insulation throughout. Heated front seats and a heated steering wheel come as standard on every version. Higher grades add ventilated front seats, electric seat adjustment with lumbar support and memory, plus a front tilting and sliding sunroof. Front legroom and headroom feel generous for the car’s size, while the upright seating position and low centre console give a roomy feel up front.

The EV2 runs purely on electricity with a choice of 42.2 kWh or 61.0 kWh batteries. Official WLTP combined range reaches up to 195 miles on the smaller pack and up to 275 miles on the larger one, depending on wheels and trim. Efficiency sits around 3.85-4.08 miles per kWh. DC charging takes the battery from 10 to 80 percent in roughly half an hour.

Servicing is needed every 24 months or 20,000 miles, whichever comes first. The car carries Kia’s standard seven-year or 100,000-mile warranty, while the high-voltage battery is covered for eight years or 100,000 miles.

Every EV2 comes with a full set of driver aids: Forward Collision-Avoidance Assist 2.0 that covers city, pedestrians, cyclists and junctions, Smart Cruise Control with stop-and-go, Lane Keep and Lane Follow Assist, Highway Driving Assist, blind-spot and rear cross-traffic systems, plus front, side, curtain and rear airbags. Higher trims add surround-view cameras and remote parking.

Day-to-day ownership benefits from the long service gaps, strong warranty and standard parking sensors with reversing camera. A heat pump is optional only on the top trim to help preserve range in cold weather. Luggage space is 362 litres with seats up, expanding usefully when the rear bench folds.
