Braked towing is 1,500 kg.

Kia Ceed 2012–2015 car dimensions: 4505 mm long, 1780 mm wide and 1485 mm high. Unladen weight is 1,316 kg. Braked towing is 1,500 kg.

Base models get manual air conditioning and a basic audio setup with Bluetooth. Higher grades add dual-zone automatic climate control, cruise control with speed limiter, rear parking sensors and a seven-inch touchscreen with navigation. Top trims include a reversing camera integrated into the screen, front sensors with parallel park assist and lane departure warning. No factory smartphone mirroring or automatic emergency braking appears on this generation.

The estate offers 528 litres with seats up under the load cover and expands to 1642 litres with the 60:40 split rear seats folded flat for a level floor flush with the tailgate. Roof rails come as standard along with underfloor storage, a luggage cover, net hooks and a 12-volt socket.

Braked towing reaches 1500 kg on manual diesel versions and around 1400 kg on petrols, with unbraked limits of 600-650 kg. Payload sits near 500 kg. The car suits light work or family loads with its standard roof rails and practical boot features but lacks dedicated heavy-duty options.

The cabin feels spacious with extra headroom and legroom for front occupants plus better rear shoulder space. Seats are ergonomic with adjustable lumbar support and active headrests. Higher grades add power driver seat adjustment with memory, dual-zone climate control, leather trim and heated front seats plus steering wheel. Thicker front glass and extra seals cut cabin noise for a quieter ride. A cooled glovebox and useful storage complete the practical setup.

Fuel tank holds 53 litres.

Service intervals typically 15,000-30,000 km or 12-24 months depending on conditions and engine.

Euro NCAP five-star rating.

Standard six airbags, ESC, ABS, EBD, BAS, HAC and VSM.

7-year/150,000 km warranty transferable with regular servicing.

Engines focus on efficiency with petrol options around 6 l/100 km combined and diesels from about 4 l/100 km on official figures. EcoDynamics versions add stop-start and low-rolling-resistance tyres to cut use further. Real-world figures run higher but remain competitive for the class.

Servicing follows intervals of 15,000 km/12 months under heavy use or up to 30,000 km/24 months normally. Oil and filter changes form the core of routine work. The 7-year warranty covers the car provided services stay on schedule and transfers to later owners.

Safety kit starts with six airbags, electronic stability control, anti-lock brakes with brake assist, hill-start assist and vehicle stability management on every model. The generation scored five Euro NCAP stars with strong adult and child protection scores.

Keep the car with regular checks on filters, fluids and brakes. Diesels need occasional longer runs to clear the DPF. The long warranty and European build help keep ownership straightforward if maintenance records stay complete.
