The Ioniq Electric runs solely on its battery and motor with no petrol or diesel use. Early models use a 28 kWh pack while later ones in the generation step up capacity for longer range on a charge. Regenerative braking paddles help recover energy on the move.
Servicing is straightforward with fewer fluid changes than combustion cars. Intervals fall every 15,000 km or annually. Checks cover brakes, cabin filter, coolant for the high-voltage system and general inspections.
Safety scores five stars in Euro NCAP testing. Standard kit includes multiple airbags, stability control and automatic emergency braking. Higher grades add blind-spot warning, lane keep assist and adaptive cruise.
The car is simple to keep with low routine costs due to the electric setup. Battery warranty coverage is long-term and the overall structure uses high-strength steel for durability.
