The Inster is a pure EV with a choice of 42 kWh or 49 kWh batteries. Official energy use sits between 14.3 and 15.1 kWh/100 km, delivering a WLTP range of 327 km on the smaller pack and up to 370 km on the larger pack with 15-inch wheels. DC fast charging takes the battery from 10 to 80% in about 30 minutes.
As an electric car the Inster needs less routine work than a combustion model. Service intervals are listed as every 12 months or 15,000 km in some markets and every 24 months or 20,000-30,000 km in others. Cabin filters and brake fluid are among the items checked or replaced on schedule. A heat pump is available to help efficiency in cold weather.
Safety kit is strong for the class. Seven airbags are standard and the full SmartSense suite covers forward collision avoidance with junction turning, lane keep and follow assist, smart cruise with stop-and-go, blind-spot systems on higher grades, rear cross-traffic alert and driver attention monitoring. Euro NCAP awarded four stars in 2025.
Ownership is straightforward. The five-year unlimited warranty plus eight-year battery cover give long-term peace of mind. Vehicle-to-load capability lets you power devices from the car, and Bluelink connectivity handles remote climate and charge control.
