GWM Tank 300 2020– car dimensions: 4760 mm long, 1930 mm wide and 1903 mm high. Unladen weight is 2,155 kg. Braked towing is 3,000 kg.
The Ultra cabin has a 12.3-inch touchscreen with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto (wireless on diesel and hybrid, wired on petrol), dual-zone climate control with rear vents, and a 12.3-inch digital cluster. Adaptive cruise control, AEB, blind-spot detection, lane-keep assist with centring, and a 360-degree camera with transparent chassis view are standard. Parking sensors are four front and rear on petrol, six on diesel and hybrid. Nappa leather seats with heating, ventilation and driver massage make long drives comfortable.
Boot space is 400 litres with seats up and expands to 1635 litres with the 60/40 rear seats folded flat. The square shape helps with loading gear, and there is a 12V outlet plus hooks. The side-hinged tailgate with full-size spare needs clear space behind when parking.
Braked towing is 3000 kg and unbraked 750 kg across Ultra petrol, diesel and hybrid. Payload sits at 600 kg for diesel and hybrid, 610 kg for petrol. 2025 updates added a reinforced prop shaft, upgraded wheel bearings and strengthened front suspension knuckles to support the higher ratings.
Low-range gearing, front and rear locking diffs on Ultra, crawl control and multiple terrain modes suit work or adventure towing and light payload duties.
The Ultra cabin uses Nappa leather seats with eight-way power adjustment and lumbar for the driver plus four-way for the passenger. Front seats heat and ventilate, with driver massage and memory. Dual-zone climate, 64-colour ambient light and a sunroof create a quiet, roomy feel for five with good rear space and vents.

Fuel use depends on the engine. Petrol quotes 9.5 L/100 km combined on 91 RON, diesel 7.8 L/100 km and hybrid 8.4 L/100 km. All share a 75 L tank. Real-world figures run higher in mixed or off-road use but the diesel stays the thriftiest for long trips.
Servicing follows 12-month or 15 000 km intervals after an initial 10 000 km visit. Capped-price plans cover the first five to seven years depending on market, keeping costs predictable for a body-on-frame 4x4.
Safety is strong with a five-star ANCAP result covering adult, child, pedestrian and assist scores in the high 80s percent range. Standard kit includes seven airbags, autonomous emergency braking with pedestrian and cyclist detection, adaptive cruise, lane-keep and centring, traffic-sign recognition, blind-spot monitoring and a 360-degree camera with transparent chassis view.
Daily ownership is straightforward. The long warranty and roadside cover reduce worry, while the app lets you check status and pre-condition the cabin. Diff locks and low-range gearing handle rough tracks without special tools, and the full-size spare sits on the tailgate.
