Five-star Euro NCAP rating as first pickup to achieve it

Standard six airbags including front side and full-length curtains

Dynamic Stability Control with trailer sway hill launch and descent assist

Service intervals every two years or 18,000 miles on most engines

80-litre fuel tank

AEB with pedestrian detection standard from 2019

Diesel engines dominate with 2.2-litre and 3.2-litre options early on and 2.0-litre bi-turbo later. Claimed combined fuel use sits in the mid-30s to low-40s mpg range depending on power and gearbox though real-world figures run lower especially when loaded or towing. The large tank supports decent range between fills.

Servicing runs every two years or 18,000 miles for non-2.0 engines with shorter 12,500-mile intervals plus annual checks on later EcoBlue units. Warranty covers three years or 60,000 miles plus 12-year anti-perforation protection. Routine costs stay reasonable with a wide dealer network.

Safety starts strong with the five-star Euro NCAP result from 2011-2012 testing that included high adult child and pedestrian scores. Every model carries multiple airbags stability control ABS and trailer aids. From 2019 AEB lane keeping traffic sign recognition and auto high beam became standard across the range.

The truck lives as a capable daily and work tool with strong towing and payload figures. Higher trims add comfort kit while base versions stay simple and tough. Regular checks keep the body warranty valid and the platform handles hard use well over time.
