Safety kit centers on AdvanceTrac with Roll Stability Control, Safety Canopy side curtains for all three rows, dual-stage front airbags with sensors, front side airbags, three-point belts for all seats, LATCH anchors, and child-safety locks. Later years added standard rearview camera. NHTSA gave strong frontal and overall scores on tested years.
Body-on-frame construction with independent rear suspension supports daily use and towing. Keep up with tire pressure monitoring, brake inspections, and fluid checks. Higher trims add convenience items that ease long ownership.
