Base models have manual air conditioning and a 4.2-inch colour display with SYNC voice control and DAB radio. Higher Titanium grades add dual-zone electronic automatic temperature control, cruise control with speed limiter, and an 8-inch touchscreen with SYNC 3 that supports Apple CarPlay and Android Auto on later cars. Rear parking sensors are standard on Titanium and Grand versions. Optional packs bring Active City Stop automatic emergency braking, BLIS blind-spot warning, lane-keeping alert and aid, Active Park Assist, and a reversing camera.

The five-seat C-Max offers 432 litres of boot space to the parcel shelf with seats up and a mini spare. Fold the three individual rear seats flat and capacity rises to 1723 litres. The seats tumble forward or remove fully for a flat load floor, and the Comfort system lets outer seats slide diagonally for more space.

Most versions tow 1200 kg braked and 695 kg unbraked, though some petrol and diesel engines reach 1500 kg braked while the ECOnetic diesel is limited to 400 kg. Payload sits around 515 kg depending on engine and equipment. Roof load is 75 kg across the range. The flexible seating and optional power tailgate suit family and light work duties, but no heavy-duty cooling or reinforced suspension packages appear in the specs.

The cabin offers an elevated seating position with good outward visibility and flexible rear seats that fold, tumble or remove for load space. Higher grades add ambient lighting, dual-zone climate and partial leather. Power driver seat adjustment and heated front seats appear on upper trims. A fixed panoramic roof with electric blind is available on top grades. Thicker side glass aids quietness on later cars. The overall feel is roomy and practical for family use with supportive seats.
