The cabin has a high driving position with sliding rear doors for easy access. Air conditioning is standard on Zetec and above, with electronic automatic temperature control on Titanium. Active City Stop low-speed automatic emergency braking, parking sensors and reversing camera are optional.
Boot space is 318 litres with seats up using the tyre repair kit, or 304 litres with a spare wheel. Folding the rear seats flat gives 1386 litres with a level load floor.
Braked towing capacity is up to 750 kg on EcoBoost models and lower on other engines such as 575 kg or 675 kg. Unbraked towing is up to 635 kg. Payload is 470 kg. The sliding doors and folding passenger seat aid loading longer items for light work use.
High-mounted seats give a good view and easy access via the pillarless sliding doors. The tall glasshouse delivers plenty of headroom for five. Soft-touch materials appear on higher trims and the cabin stays quiet with a ride that absorbs bumps well. Titanium X adds a full-length panoramic glass roof with sunblind for a brighter feel, plus partial leather and heated front seats. Climate control is manual on lower grades and automatic higher up. Seats are manual with height and lumbar adjust on mid-to-top models.

Diesels claim 74.3 mpg official. 1.0 EcoBoost petrols 55-58 mpg
Petrol options centre on the 1.0 EcoBoost with claimed combined figures of 55-58 mpg and low CO2 on the stronger versions with stop-start. The 1.4 and 1.6 petrols are thirstier. Diesels return the best official economy at 74.3 mpg and 98 g/km CO2. Real-world figures are lower but still competitive for a small MPV. Fuel tank holds around 48 litres on petrol models.
Service intervals are set at one year or 12,500 miles, with fixed-price plans available from Ford. Minor and major services alternate. The standard warranty runs three years or 60,000 miles, backed by one year roadside assistance and a 12-year perforation warranty.
Crash safety is strong thanks to the five-star Euro NCAP result, helped by ultra-high-strength steel and B-pillar elements built into the doors. Every model gets a full set of airbags, ESP and traction control. Hill-start assist is standard on most engines. Active City Stop is optional.
The car is easy to live with day to day thanks to the wide door openings and flexible seating. Residuals hold up reasonably well for the class. Higher trims add useful comfort kit without major complexity.
