Braked towing is 900 kg.

Fiat Panda 2011–2020 car dimensions: 3686 mm long, 1672 mm wide and 1605 mm high. Unladen weight is 1,050 kg. Braked towing is 900 kg.

The cabin offers a modern design with high-quality materials and modular space, plus 15 storage compartments. Air conditioning comes as standard. Blue&Me provides Bluetooth and USB connectivity as standard on 4x4 models. City Brake Control is an optional low-speed collision mitigation system. Rear parking sensors are available as an option. A 7-inch touchscreen with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto arrives on higher trims later in the generation. ESP is standard.

Boot space measures 225 litres with seats up. Folding the rear seats expands it to 870 litres. An optional sliding rear bench increases capacity to 260 litres with seats in place.

Towing capacity reaches 900 kg braked on the Multijet diesel 4x4 and 800 kg on the TwinAir petrol 4x4, with 400 kg unbraked for both. Payload including the driver is 500 kg on five-seat versions. The 4x4 features raised ground clearance of 15-16 cm and all-new suspension optimised for on-road comfort and off-road use.

The cabin feels roomy and airy thanks to the high roofline and good all-round visibility. Slim front seats with height adjustment on higher grades give decent legroom and support for a small car. Cloth or half cloth/eco-leather trim is practical, with plenty of storage cubbies and cupholders. Manual air conditioning is standard on the 4x4, automatic optional. The optional SkyDome panoramic roof opens up the space further. Seats are firm but access is easy with wide-opening doors.

Fuel tank holds 35-37 litres depending on engine.

0.9 TwinAir Turbo petrol or 1.3 Multijet diesel available.

Petrol service every 30,000 km or 24 months.

Euro NCAP 4 stars (2011 test).

Standard: ABS with EBD and BAS, ESC with ASR, Hill Holder and ELD, front and curtain airbags, ISOFIX, anti-whiplash front head restraints.

Fuel use is efficient for the class. The TwinAir Turbo petrol returns official combined figures around 4.9 l/100 km. The 1.3 Multijet diesel is similar or slightly better at around 4.7 l/100 km combined, with urban and extra-urban splits listed in brochures. Real-world figures are higher but still economical for a 4x4 city car. Start&Stop is fitted on both.

Servicing follows a fixed plan. Petrol versions need checks every 30,000 km or 24 months. Diesel intervals can extend further in some schedules. Oil, filters and fluids are routine. The 4x4 needs occasional checks on the transfer unit and rear differential oil. Parts are widely available and costs stay low.

Safety kit is solid for the size. Four airbags (front plus full-length curtains) come standard, with side airbags optional to reach six. ABS, EBD, BAS and full ESC with ELD electronic locking differential are standard on the 4x4. Hill Holder helps on slopes. City Brake Control low-speed AEB was optional. ISOFIX points and anti-whiplash headrests are included. The car scored four Euro NCAP stars when tested in 2011.

Living with the Panda 4x4 is straightforward. Ground clearance and the automatic 4x4 system with ELD make light off-road or snow use easy without drama. The cabin stays practical with flexible rear seats and a useful boot. Regular dealer or independent servicing keeps it reliable. Tyres are M+S as standard on many 4x4s.
